Uniform Shop

UNIFORM SHOP

The uniform shop is the sole supplier of the entire school uniform. We are located through the main gates and left at the top of the stairs. It is run by the P&C and volunteers, where all proceeds go to the P&C to distribute back into the school community.

The uniform shop is always happy to welcome new volunteers. We presently work on a roster system of Monday mornings and Thursday lunchtime (approx. 1 - 1 ½ hour shifts) or we may require you for extended trading hours throughout the year. All volunteers require current “Working with Children Check” which can be obtained for free through the NSW Roads and Maritime Services. RETURNS AND REFUND POLICY (MODIFIED AUGUST, 2013)

To be eligible for a refund or exchange all returns need to be received within 28 days of the date of purchase, in original condition (Not worn or washed) with the receipt included. (Note: Customers who have purchased or have a lay-by for Year 6 students during the year prior to commencement have until the Term 1 Staff Development Day to arrange any refunds or exchanges.) Returns or exchanges of discontinued stock or marked down items will not be accepted.

ORDER COLLECTION POLICY (May, 2017)

• Online orders may only be collected from the school uniform shop, at the designated time on the order.

• A FlexiSchools “proof of purchase receipt” is required for all on-line order collections. 

• Please Note: Online orders will not be delivered to students or left at the school office for collection.

P & C UNIFORM SHOP LAY-BY POLICY (Updated September, 2012)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. A minimum deposit of 20% of the total Lay-by is required to commence the Lay-by.

2. Regular payments (e.g.: fortnightly or monthly) are required.

3. Lay-bys are to be finalised within 12 weeks of commencement.

4. The Lay-by customer will be given a copy of the agreement which includes:

- A list of the items on Lay-by

- Lay-by Finalisation Date

- Terms and Conditions

5. If the Lay-by customer chooses to cancel some or all of the Lay-by a $1 Cancellation Fee will be charged.

6. The Lay-by customer may receive reminders if regular payments are not made.

7. A $1 Administration Fee will be charged for each reminder sent.

8. If the Lay-by customer has not made regular payments and not completed the Lay-by by the Finalisation Date a Final Reminder will be issued.

9. The Lay-by customer needs to make the Final Payment no later than 2 weeks after the Finalisation Date.

10. If the Lay-by is not finalised after 2 weeks of the Finalisation Date the Lay-by customer will be notified that the Lay-by is terminated. A Termination Fee of $5 maximum will be charged and the balance of money received will be refunded.

11. The Lay-by customer can collect part of the Lay-by before finalisation but a holding deposit of 20% of the balance owing will be required to hold the rest of the items.

12. If the uniform shop is unable to provide a particular item, the Lay-by customer can choose to cancel that item or have an Extension on the Finalisation Date until the goods become available. No Cancellation Fee will be charged.

13. The Lay-by customer will be notified when an out of stock item becomes available and a new Finalisation Date given. No Administration Fee will be charged.

14. If the Lay-by customer needs to exchange an item, as the size is incorrect, the price of the new item will be adjusted if necessary. (Prices of Child and Adult sizes vary on some items.)

Unless otherwise stated, we warrant against any faulty workmanship and/or materials, excluding discounted products sold as imperfect or seconds, any misuse of products, products not used for their intended use or products that have been worn incorrectly, products exposed to UV light, bleaching or expected normal wear and tear of product. Please return the product to the place of purchase with a copy of the receipt, so they can forward it on to Harlequin. CARING FOR YOUR UNIFORMS

Labelling

Please ensure all items of clothing are clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Washing

Washing inside out will protect the face of the fabric. This will limit pilling or snagging and prolong the life of the garment. Fasten all zips, buttons or studs before washing. This will prolong the life of the zipper and eliminate the risk of damaging other garments during the cycle. Cold wash is always recommended to limit shrinkage, especially with pure cotton garments.

Drying

Line drying in shade is always the safest option. Leaving garments on the line for a prolonged period of time will cause most fabric to fade, especially in the sun. If tumble drying, try to use cool or warm temperature, not hot. This will limit shrinkage. Tumble drying inside out will protect the face of the fabric and limit fluffing, pilling and snagging. Fasten all zips, buttons before tumble-drying.

Ironing

Do not iron on embroidery or printing. High temperatures will burn the thread on embroidery and may smudge printing.

Always read the garment care label before first wash.
