Like all NSW public schools, we provide safe learning and teaching environments to encourage healthy, happy, successful and productive students.
The department is committed to creating quality learning opportunities for children and young people. These opportunities support wellbeing through positive and respectful relationships and fostering a sense of belonging to the school and community.
The Wellbeing Framework for Schools helps schools support the cognitive, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development of students and allows them to connect, succeed and thrive throughout their education.
Our Wellbeing team comprises of Head Teacher Wellbeing and two Wellbeing Officers who assist the students in our school achieve their best possible outcomes by ensuring that their wellbeing is taken care of. This includes physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing. The Wellbeing Team links students and their families into both internal and external support services if required.
The Wellbeing Team operates whole school initiatives that promote healthy relationships, making responsible choices, owning behaviour and improving mental health practices to help create a positive culture not only within our school community, but within our wider community and most importantly, their families.
The Wellbeing Officers are a resource for all students whether they are experiencing hardships, are needing assistance with navigating relationships in their life, or they want to learn more about how to improve their own personal wellbeing. They also run courses and programs for student groups depending on the area of need within the school.
